Officer Roles
Chair
To act as general coordinator of activities of the REMDC and preside at all business meetings. To issue notice to all regular meetings of the membership or special meetings of the cabinet. To represent the REMDC in relation to other organizations. Terms of office to be (1) year.
Vice-Chair
To assume all duties of the chair in the absence of or inability of that officer. Term of office to be one (1) year.
Second Vice-Chair
To assume all duties of the chair in the absence of or inability of that officer. Term of office to be (1) year.
Treasurer
To collect all moneys due the REMDC including regular membership dues and special assessments. To pay all bills submitted in proper form. To prepare an annual financial statement and forward to the secretary for inclusion in the annual meeting summary. Term of office to be three (3) years.
Cabinet
To assist officers of REMDC. Meetings may be called by the chair, vice-chair or second vice-chair. The cabinet is composed of the chair, vice-chair, second vice-chair, treasurer, secretary and committee chairpersons.
Secretary
To be appointed annually by the chair. To keep a record of all proceedings, prepare, publish, and distribute annual meeting summary. (Serves as a member of the cabinet.)
